The Sequoia tray

The Sequoia tray by Chulo is a large square black wooden tray built with the presence of a small piece of furniture. Its generous 58 x 58 cm surface is framed by deep, straight-cut walls that rise cleanly from the base, while two slim cut-out handles are recessed into the sides so the silhouette stays perfectly rectilinear from every angle.

Made entirely by hand in wood, the tray wears a deep matte black finish that absorbs light rather than reflecting it, letting whatever sits on top take over: a frosted glass bowl, candles in glass and metal holders, dried palm fronds, a stack of art books.
