LUNA NIGHT wall vase

The LUNA NIGHT by Klatt Objects is a sculptural porcelain wall vase shaped like a full moon with a sleeping face. Softly domed brows, closed lids and a small, still mouth rise out of a perfectly round disc, so the piece reads as an art object first and a flower holder second.

It is made entirely by hand in Germany from fine bone china porcelain, and the material shows: a chalky matte white surface with no glare, where every curve of the modelling is drawn by shadow alone. Under raking daylight the eyelids and nose gather the softest grey; at night, lamplight makes the face glow quietly against the wall. Use this face wall vase on its own as a piece of relief sculpture, or slip in a single dried stem, a sprig of eucalyptus or a few fresh blooms for a poetic contrast of hard porcelain and soft petals. It suits calm, pared-back interiors — a bedroom above the headboard, a hallway, a studio wall or a gallery grouping in the living room.
